Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend 2026 Recap
The Tamarack Ottawa Race weekend was a huge success! With the support of our amazing donors, we raised a total of $10,760 in support of DeafBlind Ontario Foundation (DBOF)!
Check out a few of our teams and racers below to see how their weekend went:

Kevin Daoust is one of our board members and completed the half marathon from the streets of Ottawa! He finished the race in 1h58 minutes and placed 3,999 out of 12, 002 runners. He raised an incredible total of $4,105! Shoutout to Kevin for being our top fundraiser, and a big congratulations on your race!

‘Yvonne’s Walkers’ is our team walking in memory of Yvonne Kretschmer, raising funds to support her peers through DBOF. The group completed their walk in London, exploring Westminster Pond trails. Their team has raised $3, 395 to upgrade lighting in our London Lions Mercel home!

‘Miles that Matter’ is our Communications and Fund Development team. Featured is Sarah who completed the 2km walk on a local track in Peterborough, and Cassandra who did the 2km walk from the streets of Ottawa. Their team raised a total of $1,690!

‘Central Sole Sisters (and misters)’ is our York & Simcoe based team. They completed the 2km walk from their local trails and raised $1,120!
