We’re thrilled to share that the DeafBlind Ontario Foundation will be participating in the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, happening May 23–24, 2026! This is one of Canada’s largest running events, and it’s a powerful opportunity to raise awareness and funds for individuals who are DeafBlind as well as those living with a developmental disability who are Deaf, hard of hearing or use non-traditional forms of communication.
Whether you run, walk, cheer, or fundraise, your support makes a meaningful impact.
How You Can Get Involved
- Register for the Race:
• Visit the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend registration page. [runottawa.ca]
• Click “Register Now”.
• Choose your race category (2K, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, or Challenge events).
• Enter your personal details and complete payment.
• You can choose to pay in full or use a payment plan via Let’s Do This. - Join the DeafBlind Ontario Foundation Team:
• During registration, select “I’d like to fundraise”.
• Choose DeafBlind Ontario Foundation as your charity.
• Create your personal fundraising page through JustGiving. [justgiving.com]
- Fundraise & Spread the Word:
• Share your fundraising page with friends, family, and colleagues.
• Use social media to raise awareness and encourage donations.
• Every dollar helps enhance programs and services for people who are DeafBlind. - Cheer On:
• Not racing? Join us on-site to cheer for our team!
