Applicants can draw on their skills and experience from other sectors working with individuals with a disability, or with backgrounds as a Developmental Services Worker, Social Services Worker, Community Services Worker, Personal Support Worker or related field.

No! Given the unique needs of individuals with communication challenges, DeafBlind Ontario Services offers comprehensive training for new employees, as well as ongoing and continuous professional development.

While we do sometimes have multiple locations in one city, full shifts are completed at one home. You may have the opportunity to be trained to work at multiple locations within a close proximity.

Hours vary based on location, but most shifts are 12 hours, with both day and night shifts as we support individuals 24 hours a day.
